Our PIG- PORK CHOP or POG

Who knew that pigs were such social creatures? I mean the first day couple of days where a little touch and go but now it is getting fun watching her.

Although today, Madison went outside to feed the cats and dogs and found the pig. So after many failed attempts to get her back into her pen, we noticed she like to follow the dogs around. It was like her "herd". So once we noticed that, all we had to do was call Rascal and the pig would follow right back into the pen. Then came the task of keeping her in the pen. Every time we got her in the pen and the dogs out. She would whine until she found a way to get back out of the pen.

So I spent my morning, herding her back in the pen. Watching to see how she gets out, and then patching those holes with more wire fencing and stakes. Putting her back in the pen and watching to see how she got out again. This went on for 6 different times. When I thought I got her pretty well secured in her pen. I went inside and watched her from the house. It took her about 15 min but she managed to find a way out again. At last, I just opened the pen and let the dogs in and the pig out. They have been roaming the back yard ever since, eating each other’s food and in all having a good time.

You may be thinking in the back of your mind where in tom hill is her boy? The one that is raising this PIG for FFA. He was at a sleep over at Grandma's house. I know I know, what a good mom I am to take care of his pig.

Madison came up with a cute name for the PIG. POG – a pig that thinks it is a dog.

That is really cute. You should watch Babe, it sounds like you have one on your hands. :)
