A Boy, A Pig, A Picture and A Grandpa to the Rescue

The Moore’s are now the proud (and I use that term loosely) of a PIG. We just got it Tuesday night and it is already taking up most of our time and energy. The PIG is loving called “PORK CHOP”.

She only has those few black spots on his back.

For DT to get registered for the County Fair in March, he had to submit a picture of him and the pig together. Who would have known that taking a simple picture of a pig would be so hard?  First thing was to hose it off. Pigs are messy and DT wanted him to look his best of Pictures. That was a job in and of itself.

That silly little pig did not want to stay in one place to get hosed off and kept running around the pasture.
The here is little Pork Chop loving his pasture

And here is Pork Chop Jumping as DT sprays it with water. PIGS CAN JUST REALLY HIGH…

So eventually, DT, Madi, and I got it into the Dog cage and he hosed it off in there.

The Clean PIG!

Then comes the catching of the pig for pictures. It took the whole CREW to catch.

And for you out there that don't know,  PIGS ARE FAST!

DT said he had to have a picture of holding it by its front paws.

So we spent a good hour chasing this PIG around the pasture trying to catch it. We where luck to have Grandpa over helping Dad with the Trailer (a story of another day). Anyway, Grandpa just walked up to that pig and grabed its front pawns. He was the HERO of the DAY!

DT trying to wrangle it all by himself.

With a little help from Grandpa..

DT did it by himself.

But after all of this wranglering, this is the picture that his teacher used for the paper work for the County Fair.

Oh well, We all learned an important lesson:
PIGS MAY COME AND PIGS MAY RUN AWAY BUT
WE WILL ALWAYS NEED OUR GRANDPA!
