Momma Hen

So our neighbor finally caught the Momma Hen and her chickens and brought them over to our house.  We then put them in a metal cage we have in the back yard to keep them safe.  Well the momma hen likes to dig a little borrow for her and the babies to nest in.  Well she dug down enough that the babies would slip under the little cage and get out.  Then they could not find a way back in.  It is funny to watch the kids try to catch these FAST little babies to put them back in the cage.  And all the while, the momma hen is squawking and pecking at us.  We did eventually catch them all and fix the hole for now.  JJ had fun holding this little ones.  and they are all so different.  can't wait to see what they will look like when they grow up.  She has 11 babies now.
