One Pig, Two Pig, Three Pig...

Ok, so we started out with One Pig, lovingly named PORK CHOP, for DT's FFA.

Pork Chop was not gaining enough weight to make it to the County Fair.

That is when we discovered that there is a real thing call "Pigging Out".

It is when there is more than one pig in the pen, they will see who can eat the most.

So a search was on for a buddy Pig for PORK CHOP.

We found one. Number 2 Pig is Black with Brown markings on its front paws, like Boots.

We decided to name him JIMMY DEAN.

Then our neighbor heard we were looking for a Buddy Pig, and found a FREE one.

So Number 3 Pig is 6 weeks old and Pink.

We named her BACON.

JIMMY DEAN & BACON have done their job,

PORK CHOP is gaining weight!

It is a 3 ring circus every afternoon when DT goes out to BATH the Piggies.

We had borrowed a Cage and put one in at a time to rinse off.

The picture of Kyle holding up his shirt is from JIMMY DEAN stepping on him.

Today was the much anticipated day, DT was to shave PORK CHOP for his first County Fair!

No Problem Mom, It will be Easy. Well, I wish I could have videoed how EASY it was.

Let me just say, DT and I Both ended up muddy and smelling like PIG.

(Which is totally GROSS if you have never smelled PIG before)

DT also got some nice bruises on his arms, legs and stomach.

And PORK CHOP only got partially shaved

& got some major scraps on her side from running away from us into the fence.

Tonight it is funny BUT this afternoon, not so much.

PIG SMELL is a STANK that does not easy go away!

Dirty as the PIGS...

I love your Pigs! SO cute!!!

My friend in high school had a pet pig that they treated like a dog. Slept by her parent's bed and everything. And that was before people started getting pigs as pets! How fun for your kids and how BRAVE of you! (:

Can't wait to show Darvin. I believe it will bring back a memory or two. I wish Darvin still had some of that industrial strength soap the workers used to use. DT could use that.

Hilarious!!! Who woulda-thot that PIGGING OUT would be a real saying. I don't need someone else around me Pig Out though. PS Love the recipe blog, too. I have an idea--Add some recipes that you'll use for the next few weeks.
