JJ wanted to help. I gave her the job of aerating the soil (digging in the dirt) so that we could plant Carrots Seeds this afternoon when the kids get home. As you can tell she was having more fun digging OUT the dirt then just digging IN it.
Here is the latest pictures for my Vegetable Garden. The Tomatoes Look great, the peas, spinach, and Lettuce are coming up. The Broccoli might make it and the Cilantro and Basil are just starting to show.

Gardening again
You might be asking yourself, Why is the person so excited about gardening? I will respond by saying I have tried gardening in the past. My flower gardens turned out beautifully but my Veggie gardens died. After a couple of years, I started to get allergies to the flowers. So I stopped. My front area where I used to plant the flowers was too big to maintain with allergies. And I swear I would never do it again. But then a wonderful lady named Maly did a class about Container planting. What a wonderful thing! I could do as small or as big of a garden I wanted. So I am trying it this year.

OK, so It took me FOREVER to find the right pots for go outside my front door. But thanks to my friend Renee, I found some at Home Depot that would work wonderfully. I got flowers today and planted them. I love the colors. I only wish I had some Johnny Jump Ups to put in there. They remind me of my Grandmother Ruth. I have several pots now that I have to take back.
